Formula 1 declares war on creators using its brand name!

Ana sayfa / News

Formula 1 has increased its legal pressure on online content producers. It is claimed that some popular content creators, especially those who use the F1 name and monetize their content, have been sent legal warnings by F1 to change their names. This has sparked a huge debate among F1 fans and content creators. Many popular F1 creators have suddenly changed their names but the reason behind this change is unknown.

Recently, many names producing content for F1 fans have changed their account and brand names. The reason behind these sudden changes is rumored to be the legal warnings sent by Formula 1. For example, the F1 fan podcast “F1r the Girls” has changed its name to “Paddock Project”. Although no official statement has been made, it is thought that this change is due to legal pressure from F1.

In addition, popular F1 influencer Mikaela Kostaras has also changed her account name from “shelovesf1” to “shelovesvrooms”. In a video, Mikaela made a suggestive comment, “what would you do if you were told you couldn’t give away tickets?” He also responded to a comment saying, “Everyone is rebranding right now and it’s not arbitrary,” alluding to pressure from F1.

F1’s heavy-handed approach to content creators suggests a stricter stance compared to other sports organizations. The NBA, for example, gives content creators more freedom. NBA President Adam Silver has stated that game highlights are essentially a marketing tool. Formula 1, however, takes a tougher stance on protecting its brand, requiring creators to be more careful when creating F1 content.
